Hampton Beach Comedy Festival 2019 with host Jimmy Dunn
Again this year, Jimmy Dunn (Love, Conan, Letterman, CBS' The McCarthys) hosts a bevy of the Boston region's best stand-up comedians at the iconic Ashworth by the Sea, Ocean Boulevard, Hampton.
Produced by Scamps Comedy, the shows feature Dunn as host and at least six comedians each night, over four nights. Showtime is 8 p.m., tickets are just $20 per show.
Among the new faces to join the festival this year is Boston legend Kenny Rogerson, whose industry credits include FXs Rescue Me, Letterman, and the documentary When Stand-up Stood Out.
Along with Rogerson, newcomers this year include radio personality/actor Chris Zito (mornings on Mix 93-1 and notably in HBOs Clear History), popular club comics Chris D. and Andrew Della Volpe, and newcomer Quin Nehr, who is still in high school. Also, Karen Morgan (who works nationally in theaters) will make her return after a multiple-year absence.
Theyll join old favorites including Kelly MacFarland, Will Noonan (Improper Bostonians Best Comedian, and featured on New England Honda commercials), Mark Riley, Tony V., Dan Boulger, Lamont Price (named Best of Boston by Boston Magazine) and several more, including many with ties to the New Hampshire seacoast. That batch includes national touring act Jim McCue (Hampton), Massachusetts Funniest Person Carolyn Riley (Newmarket), Steve Scarfo (Raymond), and from Massachusetts Jeff Koen (Newburyport), Paul Gilligan (Ipswich) and L.A. resident/Ipswich native TV writer and producer Courtney Cronin.
